What is Dragonchain (DRGN)?

Dragonchain (DRGN) is a utility token for a hybrid blockchain platform designed for enterprises and developers. It allows for the rapid deployment of blockchain applications while maintaining existing language compatibility. The original team from Disney commercialized the platform in 2017.

Dragonchain is a hybrid blockchain software development platform, offering secure and fast deployment of blockchain powered business solutions written in any programming language, interoperable with any external blockchain, legacy system, or application through RESTful APIs. The platform can be hosted in any cloud or on-premises environment.

The platform offers quantum encryption integrated at the core with deterministic and low-cost network fees to address an entity’s security vulnerabilities. Sensitive data remains at the business level, protected by quantum-safe polymorphic encryption integrated at the core of the architecture. The hybrid architecture supports selective transparency where only the proof is decentralized for verification. The system offers secure GDPR/HIPAA/CCPA capable compliance to protect PII. Transactions are secured with measurable proof leveraging Bitcoin and Ethereum, with approximately $4 billion USD worth of immutable security behind each transaction every year.

Dragonchain’s architecture considers interoperability and integration as core features. The operational network, Dragon Net, has demonstrated that it can scale beyond the volume of the worldwide Visa payments platform for an extended period of time.

Dragonchain itself is very energy efficient. Not only is the platform infrastructure (including managed nodes), by default, hosted in carbon-neutral facilities, but the verification platform, Dragon Net, operates at just 0.02 Watts of energy per transaction.
